Pink Dahlia

Pink Dahlia, stained glass mosaic on board, 17.5" x 17.5" (19" x 19" framed), 2014  ~SOLD

The Dahlia originated from the mountainous valleys of Mexico. It often symbolizes staying graceful in challenging situations. The pink and purple in this flower further imply at kindness and grace.

I am particularly drawn to this flower because of its full body. The endless layers of the petals give it a strong presence. This bloom stands out from the crowd and is a reminder to make your own unique path in life. Every time I see a dahlia, I am completely mesmerized and reminded of the world’s beauty

Below is a glimpse into my process.

Cutting and Arranging Process:  All the glass in the mosaic is hand cut by me.

Grouting Process

Here you can see some of the pink iridescent glass used for the background shimmering in the light.

  2. I love the pink and purple colors, I was looking for a piece of art work for my bedroom wall. My favorite color is purple. lnemchick@yahoo.com Rochester , NY
