Imagining Winter

More Snow Is Coming, stained glass mosaic on board, 7 1/4" x 28", 2011 ~SOLD

Here is my latest Vermont landscape. A couple years back while driving through VT in the winter I was completely mesmerized by the snowy, yet brownish mountain-scape all around me. Right away I wanted to capture it in a mosaic.  This particular landscape also happens to be part of a series of mosaics of my favorite view of the green mountains as seen from the porch of the yurt I lived in while staying in Vermont.

Here are the triplets from my Bonnieview Farm Landscape Series all framed and ready!

In the upper left hand corner you can see my mosaic tribute to the snowy, dark winters of Vermont. Below the mosaic is a photo of a portion of my beloved view from the porch of the Yurt that Kyle and I lived in for 6months while apprenticing at Bonnieview Farm (I think that photo was taken in May . In the lower left are few of over 170 sheep we used to milk for making the incredible Bonnie View Cheese! And to the right I am milking the sheep, 12 at time ... it was berry berry cold in the spring and I often defrosted my frozen hands on the full, warm otters
