The Emergence

The Emergence, stained glass mosaic (framed), 30"x30", 2016 ~SOLD

The whole exists because of the interactions among its components. In a flower, the petals make up that whole. In my mosaic lotus, each piece of glass, as beautiful as it is on its own, reaches a higher beauty when it is one of the thousands that come together to create this beautiful pattern. I pieces together this flower to emerged from the blue glass as if it were surrounded by water, opening up to the light of the morning sun.
