End of 2025 Season Clearance Event!

This last weekend was my 4th and final weekend Art Festival of the year. These festivals, as well as a few seasonal one day Makers Markets and Open Studio Events is how I sell most of my original paintings today. When I began painting again 5 years ago, I primarily sold my work via my Online Art Shop - a lot has changed over the years and more changes are coming! One of the main shifts that I have planned for the new selling season is to only release new art seasonally. This means that I may only release Original Art online between 2-4 times a year. This is a new approach so I am sure it will take me a little while to iron out what works best.

Currently I have 9 paintings left in the studio. 2 of those are brand new so they are not a part of my Flash Sale but 7 are and each one is priced to sell. These are the lowest prices I can offer as I am clearing my studio for a whole new series of work for the 2026 Festival Season. I really hope that if you have been wanting to buy something special from me, that this Sale will give  you that opportunity. I hope to find forever homes for all these paintings so please email me at kpolkowska@gmail.com with any questions.

All Art in My Online Art Shop is always available via my Flexible Monthly Payment Plan

Make first payment and have the work shipped to you while you make incremental payments. Email me at kpolkowska@gmail.com with any questions. This is all set up via me and is pretty easy-going and flexible. Everything ships for Free in the Continental US.

Mystical San Juan Night II, acrylic on art board, 24"x24" (25"x25." includes a custom hardwood frame), 2025

This painting is inspired by a clear Summer night in the San Juan Mountains of Southern Colorado where I live. Each year for my birthday which falls in the middle of July we go camping around Silverton. This is typically the height of the wildflower season up in the high country. The scenery is spectacular and millions of flowers blanket the alpine meadows. The variety and vibrant colors are breathtaking. It is a magical time of the year when the earth that is nourished by the snow most of the year, thaws out for just long enough to give life to the most magnificent display.

This painting is inspired by a clear Summer night in the San Juan Mountains of Southern Colorado where I live. In this painting I wanted to highlight my love of the green, lush Summer landscape that I wait for all year year. The mountain sides are rich with life and color during the day and veiled in the magnificent milky way at night.

Cosmic Pagosa Night II, acrylic on canvas, 20″x16″ (21″x17″ includes a black floating frame), 2025

This painting is part of my exploration of a magenta colored landscape under the stars. Its a series of where I paint a similar composition in a set color palette playing with new ideas. Due to the nature of this playful, experimental process I am offering all the paintings that come out of the project at a very competitive rate, much lower than any framed painting this size I’ve ever painted. It is listed at about a 1/3 of a typical painting this size which would be $885 so I hope that this gives the opportunity to folks to get a nice size painting for an unusual price – shipping included plus a couple stickers!

San Juan Cottage III, acrylic on art board, 16″x16″ (17″x17″ includes a wood pattern floating frame), 2025

This painting is part of my new mountain cabin series. I took inspiration from one of my favorite views around Molas Pass near Silverton Colorado. The tiny wooden cabin is one of the most photographed structures in the awe inspiring San Juan Mountains. I love camping in this area in the Summer and Fall and always look forward to a stroll to the cabin or at least a quick glimpse if we are driving to our campsite or a scenic hike. I painted 4 different views of the cabin, just loosely basing it off my old photos.I set the cabin in a lush Summery landscape and I hope that each view inspires folks to head out to the mountains to explore and find an old historic cabin of their own to fall in love with. Or perhaps it can be a reminder of a memorable family stay in a mountain cottage under the vast sky filled with innumerable stars! As you scroll through the photos, take a closer look at the detail of the sky – there is a very subtle glimmer added with tiny specs of glitter. In person it is very slight but adds a touch of magic.

Mystical Snowy Night in the Mountains, acrylic on board, 34″x46″ (36″x48″ framed)

The pristine wilderness off Colorado where I live is always awe inspiring anytime of the year. But in the Winter, when the snow blankets these Rocky Mountains here and in the states beyond, the scenery is Mystical. The mountains look immaculate, untouched, frigid yet breathtakingly beautiful and full of mystery. The skies here are filled with what seems like an infinite numbers of stars shining brightly on a clear night. With this painting, I wanted to share the type of enchantment that you get filled with in childhood when you see something spectacular. I believe that I achieved that as recently my son Ethan requested that I paint a landscape for him similar to this one for his 5th birthday. Here in Colorado the scenery can bring an adult back to that place back in time when the world seemed full of Magic and Mystery. All of that is still here, tucked away in the mountains. I love having access to this level of nature and I love taking inspiration from it to share it with others.

San Juan Dreams, acrylic on board, 47.5″”x47.5″ (framed), 2023

This painting is inspired by perfectly clear Summer afternoons in the outdoor mecca of Colorado.  The mountain meadows are bright and green. The sunshine brightens up the peaks and the surrounding landscape. It is a perfect place to just kick back and enjoy the view! I love stumbling upon these perfect vistas, weather they are a pull of on the side of the road, a view from a local park or open space or long treck into the back country where the view may be there just for you to enjoy in that moment. The landscape is mesmerizing and allows meditation, contemplation or just pure feeling of contentment.
