This painting is inspired by one of my trips to Glacier National Park. I’ve included the photo that I took of a lovely pastoral scene along one of the trails we enjoyed from the famous and beloved Going to the Sun Road which runs through this majestic park. That particular day, it was a bit dry and smokey. I loved the composition of the landscape though and have combined it with brighter and wetter colors from a previous trip. This is one of the reasons I love painting so much. Many experiences and versions of a place can be captured in one image through the artists memories, imagination and playful nature.
